OUR WORK — CASE STUDY · WASATCH GUIDE SERVICE

BOOKINGS UP 87% IN THE FIRST TEN WEEKS

An established, Orvis-endorsed Utah fly fishing outfitter had a reputation its website wasn’t keeping pace with. We rebuilt the site and launched it on May 8. Ten weeks later — measured against the exact same weeks a year earlier — traffic, bookings, and revenue had all climbed together.

THE STARTING POINT

A REPUTATION THE SITE WASN’T EARNING

Wasatch Guide Service is one of Utah’s premier fly fishing outfitters — Orvis-endorsed, guiding the Provo and Weber Rivers and private water out of Park City for decades. The reputation was never in question. The website was the weak link.

It carried a respected brand but wasn’t structured to compete for the searches that fill a guide’s calendar, and it wasn’t converting the interest that reputation earned. The goal: build a site worthy of the operation — structured to rank for the Park City and Utah fly fishing searches travelers actually use, and to turn that traffic into booked trips.

WHAT WE DID

THE STRATEGY

01 REBUILT FROM THE GROUND UP, LIVE MAY 8

The structure and content that let a site rank in a competitive destination market — a site worthy of an Orvis-endorsed operation.

02 PAGES AROUND RIVERS, TRIPS, AND LOCATIONS

Organized the way anglers actually search — the Provo, the Weber, private water, and the trips themselves — not the way a brochure is organized.

03 LOCAL SIGNALS FOR PARK CITY

Clean technical foundations plus the local signals that tie a guide service to Park City and the surrounding waters — the searches that fill a calendar.

04 MEASURED AGAINST LAST YEAR

Google Analytics 4 and rank tracking in place from launch, so every result could be measured against the exact same window a year earlier.

THE HONEST PICTURE

WORTH BEING STRAIGHT ABOUT

Ten weeks, not a year

The booking counts are still modest in absolute terms — the way they are for any guide service where each trip is a high-value, low-volume sale.

The comparison is the credibility

Same ten weeks of the season, same site and business, measured against last year — which strips out the seasonal swing. The rebuild is the variable that changed, and every metric moved the same direction at once.

How we measured this: bookings, revenue, and traffic come from Google Analytics 4, compared to the same calendar window in the prior year; keyword positions come from Ahrefs. No ranking guarantees, no inflated numbers, no cherry-picking. Results reflect one client’s outcomes over a specific period and are not a guarantee of future performance.
