OUR WORK — CASE STUDY · PALM STATE FISHING

ORGANIC SEARCH BECAME THE #1 REVENUE CHANNEL

An Edisto Beach charter operator had a do-it-yourself Squarespace site that didn’t rank and never booked a trip online. We built a new site, optimized it for local search, and ran ads alongside — and within months, organic search out-earned every other channel on the site.

THE STARTING POINT

A PLACEHOLDER, NOT A BUSINESS TOOL

Palm State Fishing runs charters out of Edisto Beach and Edisto Island, South Carolina. The fishing was never the problem. The website was.

It was a do-it-yourself Squarespace site. It didn’t rank for the searches that matter, it had no online booking, and it wasn’t booking trips. Anglers planning an Edisto trip searched “edisto fishing charters,” found competitors, and booked them instead. The site was a placeholder, not a business tool.

WHAT WE DID

THE STRATEGY

01 A NEW SITE FROM THE GROUND UP

Pages built around the trips and the destination, with clean technical structure — a site that competes for every Edisto angler searching online.

02 LOCAL SEO FOR THE HOME WATERS

The specific work that gets a charter found by people searching in and around Edisto — the local signals Google uses to rank a business for searches tied to a place.

03 ONLINE BOOKING, BUILT IN

The old site couldn’t take a booking at all. The new one converts visitors into booked trips — at a higher rate than the paid ads running beside it.

04 MEASURED FROM DAY ONE, ADS ALONGSIDE

Google Analytics 4 and Search Console connected from the start, with paid search driving bookings while the rankings built.

THE HONEST PICTURE

WORTH BEING STRAIGHT ABOUT

A young site, not a long track record

Analytics history runs from early 2026, so this is the site’s first several months. We’ll tell you that ourselves.

Steady traffic, not an explosion

Organic holds around 120 visitors a month — what you expect from a new site consolidating its rankings. The claim isn’t volume; it’s that page-one visibility turns into more booking revenue than any other channel.

How we measured this: booking revenue by channel comes from Google Analytics 4; keyword rankings come from Google Search Console. Third-party traffic estimators significantly understate this site because it’s new — we report the site’s own measured data instead. No ranking guarantees, no inflated numbers, no cherry-picking. Results reflect one client’s outcomes over a specific period and are not a guarantee of future performance.
